Building on the previous weekend’s success, Tekne Cycle Club racers Matt Surch and Iain Radford made the trip down to Vermont for the 2015 edition of the Rasputitsa gravel road race, one of the most challenging spring classics in the northeast.
Matt (using 45mm clincher wheels on his Steelwool Truffle Pig) and Iain (with the disc brake version on his Specialized Crux) rode away from the field with cyclocross pro Anthony Clark, and stayed away to finish on the podium (2nd and 3rd respectively). A very impressive result – congratulations!
To top things off, Matt returned to Ottawa and joined a large contingent of Tekne riders to contest the Almonte Paris Roubaix race the following day, and rode to victory! Amazing. This is a result he’s been chasing for several years now, it’s nice to see hard work pay off.
